Fresh off a pair of secret shows under the Kletz Brothers moniker in Carrboro and Asheville, Wednesday continues building momentum toward the September 19 release of Bleeds, the much-anticipated follow-up to Rat Saw God. The latest piece of the rollout is a new video for the single “Pick Up That Knife,” a lo-fi vignette directed by Sara Melosh and set in the Appalachian outdoors. The visuals mirror the raw, unvarnished beauty of everyday Southern life—territory that songwriter Karly Hartzman navigates with uncanny ease.
Musically, the track kicks off with a twangy, slack-rock vibe before erupting into heavier moments that serve as a pointed reminder: this is still the same band that unleashed “Bull Believer.” After Bleeds drops, Wednesday will head out on tour, with support duties split between Daffo and Friendship.
