With musician Kevin Barnes taking full control of the project and delving deeper into funky electronics, the album — as well as the preceding Satanic Panic In The Attic — helped to establish Of Montreal as a defining indie rock act of the era. On Saturday, they’ll celebrate the record’s anniversary with a performance of the album in full.
