With a new album, Hopeful Woman, due March 6 via Dear Life Records, singer-songwriter Natalie Jane Hill has shared a video for “I Thought Love Meant.” The album’s closing track is a sultry folk ballad in the vein of Angel Olsen and Karen Dalton—the kind of gently mesmerizing song that offers a moment of calm amid the chaos of early 2026.
Hill will be joining incredible Philadelphia-based alt-country band Friendship for a round of dates at the end of the month and into February, including a hometown show at Grey Eagle on February 1st.
Hopeful Woman—which includes contributions Seth Kauffman and Scott McMicken—is available for pre-order on bandcamp in vinyl, cd, and digital formats.
